Netball News

The Princess had trials for District Team selection today, and after playing 4 hard games, made the team. Well done Miss Brooklyn!
What this means for me (as mother and chauffeur) is two extra afternoons of training each week. This of course is on top of the 3 afternoons she already does...I think there will be a clash, but as it's only for six weeks, no-one minds in the slightest :) After that she trials for the Regional team - as we are from a little hick town and come up against teams from the Gold Coast etc, there isn't a huge chance that she'll make it, but she will enjoy the experience.

One of the girls from Gabbie's team is off to Cairns this Easter to trial for the State team - a huge achievement, and not something that too many girls from these parts get to do! We are all sending her lots of luck :)

Sunday sees us up at 4am to drive to Murwillumbah, in New South Wales, for the "State of Origin" carnival - the girls will play 7 games each again, and we will be home around 7pm, if last year was anything to go by...must remember to take lots of sunscreen. Hopefully they will come home with trophies as a souvenir :) And I will try and remember the camera this time! LOL

Well done Gabbie for doing so well with Netball. All that training and having Mum supporting you must be paying off. Photos please Mum - just so we can share in the excitement

Well done to both girls! What a lot of travelling (is Murwillumbah / New South Wales a long way from you?) - but how exciting to be able to compete at state level. I'll keep my fingers crossed! :)
